The New Zealand White rabbit was obtained in 1991 by Charles River Canada (CRC) from Kitayama Labs K.K. of Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
NZW rabbits can also be sourced from the Oakwood Research facility in Michigan under Strain Code 571.
